This was the third similar replacement loss for this unit that the insured had filed.
JTC findings:
Recommendation: $2,600.00
Determined the damage was due to the unit being placed into an electrically energized pipe, not a bad electrical outlet. Also determined that the unit could be repaired by a different factory authorized service center returning the insured to pre-loss condition for an estimated cost of $2,600.00.

Residential air conditioning condensing unit:
The insured claimed that the condensing unit was not repairable and would all need to be replaced with a new unit.

Verified the cause and extent of the damages. Also determined that the compressor inside of the condensing unit could be replaced for an estimated cost of $1,781.00.
