Typical Files Performed by JTC Consulting

Settle For Less Than Half of The Original Claimed Amount.
 

File reviews offered at a discounted rate:   This service provides an overview of a file to ensure the claim is fair  and reasonable and/or to determine if there are any issues, which may  need to be addressed in more detail.  A short report may also be  provided, which includes opinions and recommendations regarding the  file.

Budget Estimates:   Are discussed up front with each client.  Arrangements can also be made  to notify the client once a not-to-exceed amount is approached when  working on a file.

Forensic Investigations & Fire Investigations: 

Rate Based on Project & Services Performed.

Consulting, Testing, Cause/Origin/Extent of Damage:
Files are billed at rates ranging from $75.00 to $175.00 per hour, depending on the type of service provided: Most files are billed at $125 or $150.00 per hour.  

High-Tech, Large/Complex, Expert Witness and Rush/Priority & Litigation may be billed at a higher rate.

Travel time is typically billed at lower / discounted hourly rate. 

Expenses are billed based on GSA listed mileage and per diem rates for the area, plus actual expense costs incurred for hotels, car rentals, air fare etc. (receipts provided)

Hourly rate is agreed to at beginning of each file.

Agreed Pricing Files:

Are where JTC arranges for an agreed settlement amount with the claimant.  
These files are billed based on a percentage, instead of an hourly labor rate. Typically 25% of the amount saved by JTC's services, however, this rate is negotiated/agreed to, at the beginning of each file and is often contingent on the size of the loss.
